News from the Factory Floor
January 2010
- Happy New Year! We're starting the year with a special 2 month period, dedicated entirely to all of our project.
- Our lightning talk proposal for FOSDEM 2010 was accepted. We'll be introducing UmlCanvas on Sunday at 16:00. We hope to meet you there.
- Trying to improve the experience of UmlCanvas on all browsers and platforms, we've launched Test UmlCanvas, a site where you can help us to gather input to make all diagrams look the same in all conditions. It only takes a minute, so please submit your results today.
- We've released the official site for our webUML initiative. Read our rationale and find out what you can do to realise a more social modelling experience.
December 2009
- We've release a major update to the UmlCanvas website. It's now running a customised Mediawiki, which allows us to add content more easily. Next up is a revamp of the Hosted UmlCanvas site and integrate both sites to create a far better experience.
November 2009
- We attended Devoxx09. We had the opportunity to talk to a few people and discuss Hosted UmlCanvas. New ideas to further expand the possibilities of UmlCanvas were explorer and the general idea to submit a proposal for next year's conferences seems very likely.
October 2009
- Based on UmlCanvas, we are currently slowly rolling out a new online tool, called Hosted UmlCanvas, enabling everyone to create, share and include UML diagrams in HTML based content.

starting with our main site right here...
- ... and a
more marketing-style site for UmlCanvas ;-)
April 2009
- Step 2: a first release
of Canvas2D has been
unleashed.
- We have so much to tell you ... and now we can ... on our
very
own blog.
March 2009
February 2009
- At our downloads page we now provide
the latest public releases of our projects.
- We also host a
public test
site where we deploy internal releases of our
projects. You might catch a glimpse of what is to come over
there ...
January 2009
- Slowly things are taking shape. Not much there yet, but
the boilerplate content is slowly being added to
our public wiki.
- Starting the new year, we've set up a public access to
the public git
repositories of TheSoftwareFactory. Check back while we
add the first batch of projects real soon now.
December 2008
- TheSoftwareFactory starts its first public
project: TheModelFactory,
a wiki about modeling software, focusing on ready to use
models and patterns.
